Race Schedule

Saturday, 22th of November:

Track is open as usual for riding, but please be careful of our event staff out on the course setting up banners and signs and doing any last minute trail work.
2:00 pm - Registration opens. Riders who pre-entered can pick up their rider pack and new entries will be taken.
5:00 pm - Registration closes.
5:01 pm - We start drinking a few cold beers. Toilet facilities will be on-hand so if you want to camp with us, come on out.

Sunday, 23th of November:

5:30 am - Chris and Hugh wake up waaaay too early and start getting things going
5:45 am - The coffee truck arrives, and like last year all the coffee you can drink is on us, so get some rocket fuel in ya!
8:45 am - GO!  Riders will ride up Red Hill Road to the transition area.  Now remember the first rider across through the gates wins $200 cash in the "Commonwealth Bank Hole Shot Award". Then riders duck into the singletrack and start 8 1/4 hours of pleasure and pain.
6:00 pm - Or as close as possible, we will start the awards ceremony, and hand out cash prizes and trophies.  One of our main sponsors Kona has generously provided us with a bike to give away.  So stick around to the end to be in the drawing for a 2009 Kona One20 full suspension, all mountain weapon.  We reckon they're going to be one of the bikes of choice for the '09 season.

There will be sponsors tents around the transition area with lots of cool stuff to check out, plus a bike toss event happening throughout the day.  Come and have a go and win some cool stuff or just come laugh at your friends.  We have also "brewed up" our famous Wannaride beer for the end of the event.  Nothing like coming in from your last lap and washing down the dust with a frosty cold beverage.
