N-ZO 24 Hour

In Febuary 2007 we took a team of keen mountain bikers across the pond to go check out some of the trails around Rotorua on the North island of New Zealand. What we found blew us away! Hidden amoungst the red woods of Whakarewarewa Forest was the best network of trails we had ever seen...anywhere. Everything from thigh busting fire road climbs, to bermed flowing bmx style singletrack, to heart pounding, close your eyes and hang on technical descents that went on for 20 minutes. It was all there.

We liked it so much we stayed on for a few extra days and raced in the NZO 24 Hour Race. Just when we thought the trip couldn't get any better...it turned out to be the best 24 hour endurance event course we'd seen. Our crew from Sydney ended up winning the veterans category and a spot in next year's race.

So in 2008 we just can't resist going back for more of the action, but this time we're taking you with us. We have 8 spots available for anyone interested in going over to ride what has been referred to as "the best trails in the Southern Hemisphere". We are working out the details of what, when, and how much, so if you are interested in joining us for some great riding send us an e-mail and we will get back to you as soon as possible with more info.

As it stands now the race is on Saturday and Sunday, February 23-24, 2008. We will most likely go over on the Thursday before and come back to Sydney on the following Wednesday or Thursday (depending on how much fun we're having). We will definitely fill the available spots so if you're keen, jump on early. Cost of the trip will include airfare, accommodation, transport, some meals, and support at the race. we'll even arrange to pack your bikes for the trip. Basically you show up with your gear and be ready for a good time.
