Wanna Ride FAQ

You will require a Unrestricted Open Class Motorcycle License depicted by an "R" on an Australian License. Unrestricted meaning you are not bound by any power restrictions and Open Class meaning not Learners or Provisional.  At Wanna Ride our motorbikes are 1000cc+ and do not qualify for Learner Approved or LAMS riders.

Yes we do, as long as they are a Full Unrestricted Motorcycle License for your home country.

Yes we are fully insured, all bikes have Full Comprehensive insurance.

Yes, this is set to $1500 and is refundable upon return of undamaged motorcycle.  It is required in the event of an accident/damage/refuel/tolls.

There is no restriction on where you can ride the motorcycle to as long as you conform to the terms and conditions (no riding on unsealed roads, water crossings, beach roads, or any roads where there are warnings that have been issued by authorities that are deemed unsafe to travel). You may travel interstate meaning outside of Queensland with approval from Wanna Ride.

Yes there is, this is currently set at 300km per 24hrs for our Harley Davidson. If you have booked the Harley for 2 days hire (meaning 48hrs) your allowance would be 600km. If you go over the allowance a charge of $00.79cents per kilometre will be charged.

Our motorcycles are of a premium nature and require extra care when it comes to servicing and tires.

These occurrences should be very rare as our motorcycles are meticulously cared for, however they can happen and in the event of a breakdown our bikes are covered with Roadside Assistance.  In the event the Roadside Assistance can't get the motorcycle going again you will receive a pro-rata refund or pro-rata credit to use at a later date.

We have Eftpos facilities meaning we accept VISA and Mastercard Credit/Debit cards.  We also accept bank transfer (note this needs to be cleared funds prior to hire) and we also accept cash on hire fees.  For the security deposit we accept VISA and Mastercard Credit/Debit cards which will be a pre-auth, meaning the funds remain in your account as pending. If a pre-auth cannot be completed via the normal process, a bank card charge can be processed in its place and after the hire is completed it will be refunded minus any fees to process the charge. Note that we cannot accept AMEX, Diners club or Afterpay cards, note we are working towards enabling these in the future.
